Trading books
The concept of “book” should here be taken in its largest
sense, that is, as a number of sheets bound together on one edge.
There are no specific sizes or particular rules
regarding the size of the trading books. Therefore, the use of printed
paper has no impact on these documents’ validity, only their
content matters. They may be in the form of a number of pages bound
together into a publication (volume) or on a computer file if the
latter has an un-falsification guarantee (secure proceedings).
Minutes
(in french “minute”)
Name given to the original copy of an authenticated document when
the latter must be kept by the authority which is the trustee (i.e.
notary, clerk’s office of the court …). Only copies
or excerpts may then be given to third parties.
Records
(in French “procès-verbal”)
Written document accounting for the existence of a fact, of a deliberation,
of an agreement (or disagreement) and preserving it. |
